F I R E W O R K S

I always thought I wanted to be a singer on stage like Gloria Estefan or Whitney Houston (minus the crack and stuff). But I discovered that I could express my creativity other ways, because let's be honest, only my mom and dad thought I was a good singer (I wasn't). I would make handmade cards for my family for birthdays and Christmas. They were kind of good, too. My best work came at the ripe age of 6 when i drew a picture of a crowd watching the 4th of July fireworks, and a portrait of me, 6 year old Kristin, facing 'the camera'. I received the glowing praise of my parents "How clever, that little Kristin!", they'd say. It was then I knew I was kind of good at this. Or at least, I genuinely wanted to be good.
